A spotlight on Pete Evans – Head Chef of the Taunton Vale Golf Club restaurant

Pete, who hails from Cardiff, boasts an impressive career history, with his exploits taking him all over the world.

He began his career by training for 2 years with the U.S.A.F (United States Air Forces Europe) in Chiemsee, Southern Germany. During this time he achieved City & Guilds levels 1 and 2 with Distinction.

Following this he spent the next four years gaining experience in a variety of restaurants including an Italian in St Louis, USA and various Cornish restaurants. Pete also had the pleasure of catering for guests and crew on-board a luxury yacht sailing around Malta and Italy.

Pete progressed to Head Chef at the Fox and Hounds in Redruth, Cornwall for five years before moving to the luxury Clowance Estate & Country Club which is a fabulous 5 star establishment in the heart of Cornwall as Head Chef.

Pete's next stop was Hers Seafood restaurant in St Ives where he had his work cut out for him - Hers had a capacity of 120! Pete was able to hand pick the best available seafood fresh from the Harbour.

In recent years, Pete has worked for the Half Moon Inn in Horsington, The Swan Inn, North Petherton and at the Monkton Elm Garden Centre, Taunton before finally arriving at Taunton Vale Golf Club.
